Disclosed are a method and a device for attaching a transparent protective panel onto a surface of a display panel without generating bubbles. Specifically, when a display panel and a protective panel, either of which has a viscoelastic shock absorbing layer formed on the bonding surface thereof, are attached to each other using a deaerating agent having a viscosity of 10 to 100 cps, one of the display panel and the transparent protective panel (second panel (50)) is disposed above the other (first panel (40)) such that the bonding surfaces form an acute angle while first side ends (40a, 50a) of both the panels are in contact with or disposed close to each other. The second panel is pivoted such that a second side end (50b) of the second panel approaches a second side end (40b) of the first panel, and attached to the first panel while a deaerating agent is introduced between both the panels. The second panel is attached to the first panel while the first panel is inclined such that the second side end (40b) thereof is at a position higher than the first side end thereof, and the deaerating agent is introduced from a position adjacent to the first side end of the first panel. The agent introduction position moves toward the second side end of the first panel as the second side end of the second panel approaches the second side end of the first panel. |
