PURPOSE: A semiconductor memory device is provided to control a driving force in response to a word line selection signal. CONSTITUTION: A memory cell array unit(20) includes a first memory cell array and a second memory cell array. A write driver(50) drives a first local line with small driving power when a write operation about the first memory cell array is performed in comparison of the write operation about the second memory cell array. A switching unit(60) is formed in a second local line connected to a second input and output line to transmit data to a second memory cell array and is turned off when the write operation about the first memory cell array is performed. |
