APPARATUS FOR MAKING A SPUNBOND WEB

An apparatus for the manufacture of a spunbond web from filaments wherein a spinneret for producing filaments is provided. Downstream of the spinneret is a cooling chamber into which the process air is fed to cool the filaments. A stretching unit for stretching the filaments is connected to the cooling chamber, and the connection region between the cooling chamber and the stretching unit is closed. This stretching unit has a stretching passage whose passage walls diverge over at least a part of the length of the stretching passage. A depositing device for the deposition of the filaments for the spunbond web is provided.
