PURPOSE: A liquid zone control level assessment method is provided to supplement an incorrect liquid level indicator in a nuclear reactor core by estimating the liquid level of the nuclear reactor using a neutron overpower protection detector. CONSTITUTION: A liquid zone control level assessment method comprises the steps of: measuring the indication liquid level of a liquid level indicator of a nuclear reactor core(S10), receiving a signal of a neutron overpower protection detector(S20), receiving a signal of a control detector(S30), calculating an estimated liquid level(S40), and displaying the estimated liquid level(S50).
