<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking space monitoring system which can surely monitor the periphery of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A parking space monitoring system 1 for monitoring a parking space 2 comprises: vehicle presence detecting means 3 which detects that the vehicle is present in a parking area 9 in the parking space 2 and outputs a vehicle presence signal; person detecting means 4 which is placed at a person detection area 12 provided to at least a position corresponding to a vehicle door when the vehicle is parked at the parking area 9, detects that a person is present in the person detection area 12 and outputs a person detection signal; and abnormality informing means 5 for informing that something abnormal occurs when the person detecting means 4 outputs the person detection signal on condition that the vehicle presence signal is output by the vehicle presence detecting means 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
