<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a lever while keeping its rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: A connector 10 fits or separates a board connector 50 by rotating a lever 40. The connector 10 comprises: a planar cum plate 41; a lever 40 which is provided with a pair of planar plate surfaces orthogonal to the plate thickness direction of the cum plate 41; and a female side housing 11 provided with a lock piece 15 which keeps the lever 40 mounted to an initial position rotatable toward a fitting position and holds the lever 40 at the fitting position. The lock piece 15 has an arm 15A which is elastic and deformable in the plate thickness direction of the cum 41, and the arm 15A is provided with a housing side projection 15B.
