<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion control method and apparatus for internal combustion engine in which the variation of combustion among cylinders is suppressed so as to improve the exhaust gas performance of a diesel engine. <P>SOLUTION: The combustion control method is provided with a first cylinder ignition timing calculation means 27 for calculating the ignition timing of a representative cylinder (a first cylinder) K1 in multi-cylinders based on a signal of a cylinder pressure sensor 25 mounted only in the representative cylinder, a second cylinder ignition timing calculating means 29 for calculating the ignition timing of another cylinder except the representative cylinder on the basis of the variation of a supply gas temperature of each cylinder which is detected by an supply gas temperature sensor 23 and a gas temperature of each cylinder which is determined from the gas temperature of another cylinder except the representative cylinder and an ignition timing adjusting means 31 for making the ignition timing of each cylinder a standard ignition timing on the basis of the deviation value between the standard ignition timing suitable for the operation condition and the ignition timing calculated by the first cylinder ignition time calculating means 27 and the second cylinder ignition timing calculating means 29. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
