<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay that operates stably despite a large movement of a card. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the electromagnetic relay includes: a base; an electromagnet device; a movable part operable on the action of the electromagnet device; a card swingably supported on the base so as to be swung by the operation of the movable part; and a contact mechanism having a stationary contact and a movable contact movable by the swing of the card into contact with the stationary contact. The card has a pressure portion that the movable part in operation abuts and presses, and a card side engagement portion shaped into a projection having a shorter width than the pressure portion.
