<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a good loading state of a strip rubber member 11, and to easily improve its loading efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: When loading a strip rubber member 11 supplied from a feeding means 18 on a support table 19 while folding the strip rubber member, swelling fold-back ends are alternately scrunched downward immediately after the folding while bending the uppermost strip rubber member 11a in a hairpin shape by pressing arms 39, 40 of scrunching means 47, 48. Accordingly, the folding end of the strip rubber member 11 is scrunched to a thickness the same as a longitudinal central part thereof.
