<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of feeding in a posture liable to cause aspiration and accidental ingestion due to lack of chairs suitable for eating meals for those in need of help, while eating meals is important for humans to live and in the background of the era in which medical development has made it possible that people having serious disorder or the aged requiring help for eating are able to live in a general household. <P>SOLUTION: The chair includes: a mechanism for fixing a back plate 1 at any angle in the range of 20-30° in the back direction and a mechanism for fixing it at an angle of not less than 40°, and also a mechanism capable of securing forward inclination of a seat surface 2 at an angle in the range of 10-30° at least at one or more places.
