PARTICULATE WATER ABSORBING AGENT WITH WATER ABSORBING RESIN AS MAIN COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorbing agent capable of keeping excellent water absorbing properties for a long time even when a urine composition is changed.

SOLUTION: A particulate water absorbing agent containing as a main component, a water absorbing resin obtained by cross-linking polymerization of an unsaturated monomer is provided. The particulate water absorbing agent satisfies: centrifuge retention capacity (CRC) in a physiological saline solution is ≥32 g/g; mass median particle size (D50) is 200-400 μm; a ratio of particles having diameter of <150 μm is 0-2 mass% ; increased extractables by deterioration is 0-15 mass%; and extractables for one hour in deterioration test is 0.1-30 mass%.
