PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an absorbent article which can be easily removed and does not give a user an uncomfortable sense.

SOLUTION: The production method of the absorbent article which has an overlapping part where a surface-side sheet and a rear-surface-side sheet overlap with each other and a part provided solely with the surface-side sheet of the surface-side sheet and the rear-surface-side sheet includes: a step of cutting a part corresponding to a boundary outer edge which is located at the boundary between the overlapping part and the part solely with the surface-side sheet in the outer edge of the rear-surface-side sheet of rear-surface-side sheet base material; a step of placing and bonding the cut rear-surface-side sheet base material upon the surface-side sheet base material; and a step of cutting a part corresponding to the outer edge of the surface-side sheet of the bonded rear-surface-side sheet base material and the surface-side sheet base material.
