PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an image corresponding to the distance to a user to be displayed without providing a light source for distance measurement.

SOLUTION: A display device 1 comprises: a light emission unit 6 that emits a light signal; a light reception unit 5 that receives reflection light obtained by reflection of the light signal emitted by the light emission unit 6 by a reflection film 55 of 3D glasses 50; a light emission control unit 11 that controls the light emission unit 6 to emit a light signal including a shutter synchronization signal and a distance calculating signal; a distance calculating signal detection unit 12 that detects the distance calculating signal from the reflection light received by the light reception unit 5; a distance calculation unit 14 that calculates the distance to a user based on a time from transmission of the distance calculating signal to detection of the distance calculating signal by the distance calculating signal detection unit 12; and a 3D image display processing unit 10 that displays an image in a display setting corresponding to the distance calculated by the distance calculation unit 14 with reference to video adjustment information 20 in which a distance is associated with a display setting of an image.
