PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent collision of reservation request signals between mobile communication terminals without pressing radio resources allocatable for transmission of upstream traffic in a mobile communication system adopting a random access system in which a mobile communication terminal transmits the reservation request signal for the radio resources to a base station prior to the transmission of the upstream traffic.

SOLUTION: A mobile communication terminal UE comprises: a transmission part (213, 211) transmitting a signal through radio resources allocated to the mobile communication terminal UE to transmit a predetermined control signal; and a signal switching part (214) switching the signal to be transmitted through the radio resources allocated to a reservation request signal when upstream traffic is generated. When the mobile communication terminal UE is in a stand-by state, the reservation request signal is transmitted by using the radio resources allocated to the mobile communication terminal UE to transmit the predetermined control signal from the mobile communication terminal UE to a base station BS.
