<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression device for a toilet paper roll that compresses the toilet paper roll with a core using a cardboard member so as to restrict an external size and a storage place of a package and suppress generation of an unpleasant sound in use, and to provide a method for compressing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A compression device for a toilet paper roll includes: a roller 3 contacting with the outer peripheral lower part of the toilet paper roll 100 with a core 102 made of a cardboard member; a roller 2 oppositely arranged to the roller 3 via the center of the core 102 and contacting with the outer peripheral upper part of the toilet paper roll 100; a roll side support part 7 for supporting the side of the toilet paper roll 100; and a control part 9 for operating the roller 2 by the compression drive part 8 and compressing the toilet paper roll 100 by the roller 2 and the roller 3 to a degree that a crease is not generated on the core 102 to reduce the hollow portion of the core 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
