<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device capable of favorably transferring a toner image on an image carrier onto a transfer material without depending on a resistance of the transfer material. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer device includes: a transfer belt 40 carrying an image developed with a liquid developer containing a toner and a carrier; a secondary transfer roller 61 to which a bias in the opposite polarity to the polarity of the toner is applied, and which is in contact with the transfer belt 40 to transfer the image onto a transfer material; a first contact member 141 to which a bias in the opposite polarity to the polarity of the toner is applied and which is in contact with the transfer material on a face where the image is transferred; and a voltage switching unit 150 for switching between a first bias to be applied to the secondary transfer roller 61 and a second bias to be applied to the first contact member 141. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
