<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of constituent circuit elements required for a variable matching circuit operable in a desired number of frequency bands. <P>SOLUTION: A first line stub SB1 and ends of two switches SW1, SW2 on one side are connected to a transmission line 11L at respective intervals L1, L2, L3 in order from an input end, the other ends of the two switches are connected to a second line stub SB2, and the first and second line stubs have an open end or short circuit end.
