<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device and an image forming apparatus that use developer carried on the surface of a developing roller to expose an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor, and form the exposed image on an image forming medium, while suppressing the occurrence of image failure during the image formation. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device included in an image forming apparatus includes a regulation member having a pressure-contact surface that comes into pressure-contact with a developing roller 3 that rotates carrying developer on the surface thereof, and thereby regulates film thickness of the developer. The regulation member includes a doctor blade 9 and urethane rubber 10; and a non-pressure-contact part Pb of the pressure-contact surface, which is other than a pressure-contact part Pa that comes into contact with the developing roller 3, is a rugged part that has grooves carved thereon and ruggedness larger than that of the pressure-contact part Pa having a smooth surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
