<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument for a vehicle, to which other components are installed by being approximated as much as possible, which does not provide a viewer with discomfort that light emission colors of indexes are viewed to be overlapped on each other while suppressing generation of unevenness of light emission luminance of the indexes in the measuring instrument which displays two vehicle states by indicating either of two light emitting indexes with one indicator. <P>SOLUTION: Diffusion parts 58a-c, e which have optical absorption properties for absorbing wavelength components in a specific range are installed between LEDs 48a-c, e which illuminate a first area 31 and the first area 31, and a light guide body 62 which has an optical absorption property that an absorption amount of the wavelength component is less and guides light of an LED 48d which illuminates a second area 32 to the second area 32 is installed between the LED 48d and the second area 32.
