The present invention relates to a fiber-reinforced resin material having a substrate at least partially reinforced by a continuous-fiber-reinforced resin member, and provides a fiber-reinforced resin material and a method for producing the fiber-reinforced resin material in which the continuous fibers constituting the continuous-fiber-reinforced resin member are in a non-serpentine layout, and the continuous-fiber-reinforced resin member and the substrate are satisfactorily bonded to each other. This fiber-reinforced resin material is obtained by laminating the continuous-fiber-reinforced resin member as a reinforcing material on at least a portion of the substrate, wherein an adhesion layer comprising a thermoplastic resin for bonding the substrate and the reinforcing material to each other is interposed between the substrate and the reinforcing material; and the relation Tg1>Tg2 or Tm2, or Tm1>Tg2 or Tm2 is satisfied, where Tg1 is the glass transition point in a case where the thermoplastic resin of the reinforcing material is an amorphous plastic, Tm1 is the melting point in a case where a crystalline plastic is used, Tg2 is the glass transition point in a case where the thermoplastic resin of the adhesion layer is an amorphous plastic, and Tm2 is the melting point in a case where a crystalline plastic is used. |
