The method involves determining the angular position of rotor shaft of electromotor (M) using angle sensor (G). One rotation speed value is determined by microcontroller (8) from the angle position values of rotor shaft, while security guards (7) are supplied. The appropriate motor current and/or motor voltages are gathered by security guard such that farther rotation speed value is determined by microcontroller (9). The warning and/or switching off signal for converter is triggered when the rotation speed values compared with one another exceed a critical balance amount.
