<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a dodecahydro-3a,6,6,9a-tetramethylnaphtho[2,1-b]furan intermediate from sclareol as a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of novel microorganisms having objective characteristics and not classified in conventional known microorganisms have been isolated and identified as the result of zealous examinations to isolate and identify microorganisms having the objective characteristics. The new microorganisms belong to the class Ascomycetes and have potential to produce the dodecahydro-3a,6,6,9a-tetramethylnaphtho[2,1-b]furan intermediate from the sclareol as the substrate. The microorganisms belonging to the class Ascomycetes and having the potential are our new knowledge and can be useful microorganisms for producing dodecahydro-3a,6,6,9a-tetramethylnaphtho[2,1-b]furan and the intermediate of the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
