The system has a cooling circuit (16) for cooling fluid and comprising an electronic heat exchanger (17), an energy storage heat exchanger (15) and a cooler (12). The cooling circuit is arranged in a circulation direction of the cooling fluid of the energy storage heat exchanger and the electronic heat exchanger or the heat exchangers are arranged in parallel. A pump (13) and a cooling fluid expansion tank (14) are arranged between the cooler and the energy storage heat exchanger. The expansion tank is connected with the cooling circuit over a branch line. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a cooling system.
