<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a gear capable of suppressing a burr generated during skiving processing. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the gear is obtained by using skiving processing for feeding a pinion type cutter 1 in the tooth trace direction of a workpiece 10 while synchronously rotating the cutter 1 with the workpiece 10 by using the pinion type cutter 1 having a rotary axis Ac inclined to a rotary axis Aw of the workpiece 10 to be processed into a gear.
