<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method for zirconium-containing steel, stably preventing, over a long period, that a Zr-based inclusion adheres to the inner wall of an immersion nozzle. <P>SOLUTION: This continuous casting method is a method for injecting molten steel into a mold from a tundish by use of the immersion nozzle and continuously casting the zirconium-containing steel containing 0.001-0.1 mass% Zr. At least the inner wall of the immersion nozzle is composed of a refractory satisfying an MgO content: 60-85 mass% and a carbon content: 15-40 mass%, and having the sum of the MgO content and the carbon content which exceeds 85 mass%. In the continuous casting method for the zirconium-containing steel, the continuous casting is performed on the condition that a total Zr content T. [%Zr], a sol.Al content [%Al], and the MgO content (%MgO) satisfy formula(1): [%Al]/T. [%Zr]×(%MgO)≥3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
