<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic injection device having a mechanism operable in a desired manner. <P>SOLUTION: The injection device includes a syringe (1) extensible against a spring (9) biasing from a retired position in a housing (2) to a projected injection position. A plunger biased by the spring has a collapsible elbow portions (10) and initially engages with the end of the syringe, so that the syringe is driven to the projected position when the plunger is released. Then, the elbow portions are collapsed inside the syringe by controlling the movement of the syringe, so that the plunger can be engaged with and can act on a bung (4) of the plunger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
