<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye which is stable against heat, is capable of preventing a reduction in photoelectric conversion efficiency when used as a photosensitizing dye of a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element, and can be easily purified, and to provide a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element using the dye as a photosensitizing dye. <P>SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element has such a structure that an electrolyte layer is provided between a porous electrode and a counter electrode. A photosensitizing dye is bonded to the porous electrode. As the photosensitizing dye, a dye is used in which an -NCS group of a polypyridine ruthenium complex having a carboxy group and thiophene as functional groups and the -NCS group as a ligand is substituted by a 2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridine group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
