Described are an antibacterial covering panel and a method for making the panel. The panel comprises a supporting layer (2) having a first surface (2a) for connection to a surface to be covered, for example the interior surface of an ambulance, and a second surface (2b) which is opposite to the first surface; at least one composite material (3) is positioned outside in view at the second surface (2b) of the supporting layer (2) and comprises at least one layer (4) of particles of photocatalytic material.
