SILICON CARBIDE HONEYCOMB AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A silicon carbide honeycomb and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the contact of a honeycomb solid member and gas requiring heat exchange by being shaped in the form of a multi-channel structure. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a silicon carbide honeycomb includes the following steps: a first mixture containing silicon carbide and carbon black is prepared; the first mixture is vacuum extruded to form a second mixture; the second mixture is introduced into a mold to form a first molded body including a honeycomb structure; the first molded body is dried by microwaves to form a second molded body; the second molded body is sintered with metal silicon to form a silicon carbide honeycomb. The porosity of the silicon carbide honeycomb is more than 0% and is less than or equal to 5%.
