DEVICE AND METHOD TO CALCULATE DURATION OF BATTERY FOR MOBILE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate duration of a battery for a mobile device in accordance with the user's usage condition.

SOLUTION: A device comprises: an acquisition section to acquire information of a usage condition including use time showing how long a user uses each of a plurality of functions provided in a mobile device; a storage section to store average electric current consumption of the respective plurality of the functions for each operation mode of the mobile device; a calculation section to calculate duration of a battery in each operation mode first by obtaining an added value produced by adding together each respective product of the average electric current consumption of a certain function and the use time of the certain function for all functions and then by dividing a capacity of the battery disposed in the mobile device by the added value; and a display section to show the duration of the battery of the mobile device to the user.
