<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a high-frequency component of an image while removing a noise component. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing device comprises: an averaging unit 105; a correlation coefficient calculation unit 111; a filter unit 112; and a composition unit 113. The averaging unit 105 averages a first high frequency image 15 and a second high frequency image 16 to obtain an average high frequency image 17. The correlation coefficient calculation unit 111 calculates a correlation coefficient 24 between a near-field region of each pixel in the first high frequency image 15 and a near-field region of each pixel in the second high frequency image 16. The filter unit 112 performs spatial filter processing on the average high frequency image 17 based on the correlation coefficient 24 to obtain a filter processing image 25.
