NARROW DIRECTIONAL SOUND REPRODUCTION PROCESSING METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a narrow directional sound reproduction processing technique that reproduces sound with a sufficient SN ratio, can reproduce sound toward any direction, and has sharper directivity for a desired direction than before.

SOLUTION: A filter is calculated for a direction in which sound is to be reproduced using a transfer characteristic aϕof sound from each speaker in each direction ϕ included in one or plural directions assumed as a travelling direction of sound. Each transfer characteristic aϕis represented by the sum of a transfer characteristic of direct sound toward a direction ϕ and respective transfer characteristics of one or more pieces of dual sound, the dual sound being sound emitted from a speaker array and being sound with a travelling direction of reflection sound of the sound by a reflection object being parallel to the direction of the direct sound. The filter is applied to a frequency domain signal S obtained by converting a sound source signal into a frequency domain for each frequency to obtain M channels of frequency domain signals X.
