<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication system 10 capable of preventing degradation and breakage of ROADM 20 during a route setting of an optical signal. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving setting information, in which IDs of ROADMs 20 are stored in sequence from the upper stream of a signal path of an optical signal, each ROADM 20 performs a route setting of the own device if ID of the own device is set at ID of a device at uppermost stream within setting information, and transmits setting information, in which ID of the own device is deleted, to other ROADMs 20 via a route for actually transmitting an optical signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
