<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To self-propel an insertion section of an endoscope safely in the insertion direction. <P>SOLUTION: An endoscope entry asisting device 20 includes endless belts 30, a support cylinder 32, and an attachment cylinder 51 to which an end part 11a of the endoscope 10 is attached. In the support cylinder 32, three belt support portions 33 are formed. The respective belt support portions 33 are attached with roller units 35 having first to third support rollers 41 to 43 for supporting the respective endless belts 30 so that they circulate. The endless belts 30 are wound around the support cylinder 32 in the state that they are bent, and circulate in the axial direction of the attachment cylinder 51. In the respective belt support portions 33, a pair of first cover rib 33c and a second cover rib 33d for covering both side edge portions of the respective endless belts 30 are formed. To a storage cylinder 53 for storing a transmitting gear 52 disposed outside the attachment cylinder 51, a belt drive gear 66 meshed with a worm gear 61 of the transmitting gear 52 and driving the endless belts 30 is rotatably attached. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
