<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump reducing a sliding resistance of a control rack through reduction of a contact area of a plunger and a plunger guide, and preventing a seizure of the plunger and a plunger barrel. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel injection pump 1 pressurizes and sends fuel by a reciprocating sliding of the plunger 14, rotates the plunger 14 on its axis with a control rack 18 to adjust a fuel injection amount. A contact part 143 having a nearly truncated cone shape with the downward diameter gradually reduced and also having a spherical lower end 143a, is formed in the lower end 140 of the plunger 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
