<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To know an exact moving image recordable time even for a write-once type recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A moving image recording apparatus comprises: a read means for reading, to a storage part, at least a part of the FAT of a recording medium mounted on a mounting part for which file management is performed by the FAT file system; a recording medium determination means for determining whether the recording medium mounted on the mounting part is of a write-once type; a moving image recordable time calculation means for calculating, if the recording medium determination means determines that it is be of a write-once type, a moving image recordable time on the basis of the number of free clusters of the FAT that is read to the storage part by the read means; and a moving image recordable time display means for displaying, on a display part, the moving image recordable time calculated by the moving image recordable time calculation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
