<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of balls by reducing a difference of a relative angle between a ball nut and a rack shaft due to radial load, in a rack parallel type electric power steering device having a ball screw mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The rack parallel type electric power steering device, in which the rack shaft 13 and the rotary shaft of a steering assisting motor 40 are disposed parallel to each other, is provided with the ball screw mechanism 43 which includes a ball screw shaft 48 provided on one end side of the rack shaft and the ball nut 47, and the power steering device has a connection part connecting a pinion housing 30 housing a pinion to a rack housing 31 housing the rack shaft to allow relative displacement of them in the radial direction, via an elastic body. The rack housing is integrated with a bearing housing 32 housing a bearing device 63 rotatably supporting the ball nut, and the bearing housing is supported on a vehicle body to allow displacement in the radial direction, via a mounting bush made of an elastic body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
