<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric actuator, weight and size of which can be easily reduced compared with a hydraulic cylinder device and which can be used replaced with the hydraulic cylinder device and can freely extend with respect to an impact load applied suddenly. <P>SOLUTION: In an electric actuator 10, rotation of an electric motor is converted to advancement/retraction of an output rod 9 by using a screw shaft 16 and a nut member 20 incorporated to the screw shaft 16. The output rod 9 includes: a drive cylinder 21 which is disposed around the screw shaft 16 and has the nut member 20; and a movable cylinder 12 which is disposed around the screw shaft 16 over the drive cylinder 21 and can advance/retract with respect to the drive cylinder 21. A release mechanism 30 locking the movable cylinder 12 on the drive cylinder 21 and allowing movement of the movable cylinder 12 with respect to the drive cylinder 21 when axial force at a predetermined level or more is applied to the movable cylinder 12 is installed between the drive cylinder 21 and the movable cylinder 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
