<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology of correcting a threshold voltage, which technology is applicable to a drive circuit for various types of display elements and achieves stable driving. <P>SOLUTION: A drive circuit for driving a display element includes: a transistor which controls a drive voltage to be applied to the display element according to a voltage applied to a gate; a first capacitor which holds a gate-source voltage of the transistor; a second capacitor which holds a modulation voltage corresponding to a potential difference between a video signal to be applied to a column line and a power on a source side of the transistor; and a switch which connects, when driving the display element, the first capacitor to the second capacitor, so as to apply a voltage including addition of the gate-source voltage held in the first capacitor and of the modulation voltage held in the second capacitor to the gate of the transistor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
