<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pretensioner capable of preventing or effectively suppressing clogging caused by cinders of chemical agents without having a large amount of gas unintentional escape. <P>SOLUTION: Shapes of respective openings in vent pores 64 formed at a filter member 62 are smaller than shapes of openings of gas flow rate adjusting pores 60 and when shapes of openings of the vent pores 64 and shapes of openings of the gas flow rate adjusting pores 60 are layered, opening shapes of the gas flow rate adjusting pores 60 protrude to the outside of the opening shapes of the vent pores 64. Furthermore, the set range of the vent pores 64 on an end surface of the filter member 62 is larger than the shapes of openings of the gas flow rate adjusting pores 60 and when the shapes of openings of the gas flow rate adjusting pores 60 and end surface shapes on opposite sides of the gas flow rate adjusting pores 60 of the filter member 62 are layered, some among a plurality of vent pores 64 are positioned outside the range of the gas flow rate adjusting pores 60.
