METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ENCODING AND DECODING MULTI-VIEW IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-view image encoding and decoding method and apparatus which can encode and decode a multi-view image more quickly and efficiently.

SOLUTION: The method includes: determining whether each of pictures included in multi-view image sequences is a reference picture for inter-view prediction; and encoding the multi-view image sequences using at least one of the inter-view prediction and temporal prediction based on the determined result.
