摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian detection device which detects a pedestrian from detection point groups with a high degree of accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A pedestrian detection device which groups detection points detected by detection means into a plurality of detection point groups D4 and detects a pedestrian from the same comprises: moving direction calculation means S5 to detect a moving direction (corresponding to the direction of a velocity vector D5) of each of the detection point groups D4; distribution information calculation means S7 to calculate distribution information D7 on distribution of each of the detection point groups D4 with respect to the moving direction; and determination means S9 to determine whether or not a temporal change in the distribution information D7 on each of the detection point groups D4 with respect to the moving direction has periodicity and to specify the detection point group having the periodicity as the pedestrian. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
