<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve band utilization efficiency of a dual rate PON system. <P>SOLUTION: A band control circuit comprises: a band control part setting a Discovery Window period, in which each of ONUs unregistered with an OLT performs a registration request, for the ONU whose downstream and upstream transmission speeds are 1G and the ONU whose downstream transmission speed is 10G and upstream transmission speed is 1G or 10G; a 1G Discovery Window control part; a 10G Discovery Window control part; and a connection control part performing a registration procedure depending on an MPCP rule by receiving a registration request signal transmitted by the ONU having upstream and downstream transmission speeds of 1G when reception permission is given by the 1G Discovery Window control part, or by receiving the registration request signal transmitted by the ONU having downstream transmission speed of 10G and upstream transmission speed of 10G or 1G when reception permission is given by the 10G Discovery Window control part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
