SOCKET LOCKING ASSEMBLY

Embodiments of the present invention provide a socket locking assembly for a computing device. According to one example, the assembly includes a printed circuit board card and a socket configured to receive the card. The socket includes a first handle and second handle positioned at opposite ends for locking the card within the socket. A first adapter is positioned adjacent to the first handle, and a second adapter is positioned adjacent to the second handle of the socket. Furthermore, a securing band is formed around the pair of adapters to maintain the first handle and second handle of the socket in a locked position.
