<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit for a voltage-driven switching device which can reduce a switching loss by setting a precise desired current value of turn-on gate current. <P>SOLUTION: A gate driving constant current circuit provided is connected to a gate terminal of an IGBT 1 to output a gate signal to turn on/off the IGBT 1 to the gate terminal according to an on/off gate control signal of a driving pulse signal 2. The gate driving constant current circuit includes: a first resistance 5, a first transistor 15, a second resistance 6 and a control signal transfer transistor 7 connected in series between a positive power source 3 and a GND potential 4; and a gate-on resistance 8 and a constant current output transistor 9 connected in series between the positive power source 3 and the gate terminal of the IGBT 1.
