<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the generation of density irregularity and linear noise on a toner image. <P>SOLUTION: A value obtained by dividing an amount of developer per unit area stuck to the peripheral surface of a sleeve 80Y by a density of the developer and an interval between the peripheral surface of the sleeve 80Y and the peripheral surface of a photosensitive drum 4Y is defined as a packing density (PD). The PD at a proximal position P0 is not less than 0.3 and not more than 0.4. A magnetic flux density of a magnetic pole N1 facing the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 4Y is maximal in a predetermined-directional upstream side of the proximal position P0 at a region where the PD is 0.2 or more. A magnetic flux density in a predetermined-directional downstream side of the proximal position P0 at a position where the PD is 0.2 is 1/2 or less of a magnetic flux density in the predetermined-directional upstream side of the proximal position P0 at a position where the PD is 0.2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
