<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locating device capable of accurately finding a position for assembling a component to a workpiece. <P>SOLUTION: The workpiece has a loose hole and a threaded hole formed at a bottom face of the loose hole. The locating device moves a screw bolt in positive and negative directions on a u-axis and in positive and negative directions on a v-axis while contacting the screw bolt with the bottom face. The locating device determines positions Pα, Pβ, Pγ, Pδ where a reaction force is not smaller than a threshold value Th1 when the screw bolt is moved in the positive and negative directions on the u-axis and in the positive and the negative directions on the v-axis. When a distance between the position Pα and the position Pβ is smaller than a threshold value Th2, the locating device performs movement in a v-axis direction starting from a middle position between the position Pα and the position Pβ and the determination of the position Pγ and the position Pδ. When a distance between the position Pγ and the position Pδ is smaller than the threshold value Th2, the locating device determines a middle position between the position Pγ and the position Pδ as an assembling position for the screw bolt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
