<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method and a detector using plasma which enables further improvement in detection sensitivity as compared with a conventional detector. <P>SOLUTION: When a substance to be measured which is ionized by mixing the plasma generated by gas for plasma generation and carrier gas containing the substance to be measured, and/or electrons generated form the substance to be measured are collected in a collector chamber connected via a tube made of an insulator, the potential difference is provided between a member connected to an opening on the upstream side of the tube made of the insulator and a member connected to an opening on the downstream side of the tube made of the insulator in the flowing direction of the plasma. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
