<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing processing unit capable of creating a composite image composed of a photorealistic natural photographed image and a CG image. <P>SOLUTION: Basically, a depth value to an object in a three-dimensional space of a photographed image is detected, and a post processing, for example, such as blur processing, contour enhancement processing, or motion enhancement processing is carried out based on the detected depth value. Specifically, because the detection of the depth value is performed based on a plurality of photographed images obtained by photographing a same object in different view points, for example the depth value can be detected based on a parallax of photographed images, the depth value is more accurately calculated. In detection processing of the depth value, a composite image created by using the plurality of photographed images of different view points can be properly displayed on a stereoscopic display which displays a stereoscopic image by binocular parallax.
