The assemblies (100, 200) have main bodies (110, 210) consisting of a non-conductive material, and electrodes (130, 230) forming a surface and consisting of a conductive material. Separation layers (120, 220) consisting of another non-conductive material e.g. ceramic material, are arranged between the main bodies and the electrodes, where the latter non-conductive material has higher heat resistance than the former non-conductive material. The main bodies are formed through legs (530, 570) of an electrosurgical gripping instrument (500). An independent claim is also included for an electrosurgical gripping instrument.
